Rick Ray and his band with which this CD ‘OUT OF THE MIST OF OBSCURITY’ is a second CD together. The difference in this CD is that Rick combines the instrumental part with the lyrics and once again, he made his songs more dominant and richer than ever and sound from the CD will make you feel that you are in a bar right now, with them. It is very hard to choose which song is my favorite, all of them left a huge impact on me and on Bluesy Hard Rock  and mixed sounds of unknown and once again I was stunned on the work of the Rick Ray Band; how they combine Blues and rock with instruments as guitars, keyboards, clarinets, saxophone, bass and drums.

Why Did I Know ‘… that I love you… that you were the one… that you took that away … this is what Rick Ray is singing in his first romantic song, of lost love, on this CD in this Great solo guitar performance by Rick Ray. More than from his lyrics you get the visualization of love in his solo guitar performance that is rich and powerful.

‘Out of The Mist Of Obscurity’ in this song some how lyrics come more up, with the electronic mix of voices, they some how got the stronger voice’. …’ No man is perfect and no man is pure’ …’Out of the Mist of Obscurity, I see the whole world looking at me’ … ‘Life from above is shining on my eyes, and I am at with no compromises’ … The Rick Ray Band’s music is has a message about life and how to get the answers here, now, in our life’s and not to look them up and above. We might see the answers, but we might not understand it, but still they are here. … I love the ending, sounds of notes from guitar coming from far away.

‘Trying To Hard it a tune that actually makes you feel strange feeling all over your body. Feeling as if you are Trying very Hard to do something right that moment, feeling of emotions, of body trying to help the mind to keep trying, not to give up. You feel the music that comes from strong guitars licks. This is one of  the magic that The Rick Ray Band will make you do, you will ‘taste’ their music with your body, mind and soul.

The Eyes of God … in this tune you will relax and enjoy in something bigger than you, something that looks over you and you will get the feeling that everything will be ok, everything will be alright. And even if you do not believe in God, you will ask yourself if there is something higher, something more powerful and if there is someone who looks after you. Is there? Again the piece and striking music that comes out of guitars, made more than ideal song.

Demons and Men this is one great song where saxophone really gets a main role and it leaves you amazed how you never noticed that you had rock and blues mixed together with such perfection.

In each and every one of his songs the leading instrument is Rick’s guitar, and you will be amazed how saxophone with blues rhythm gives even more powerful rule in it. The work of each and everyone in the band is excellent and even if you never been around this type of music, you will definitely stay and look for more work of them.  Visit Rick Ray web site at The Rick Ray Band Website and order CD at http://the-rocker.netfirms.com/rickray.html .
